   My name is Tushar Kant, and I am a Master’s student in Design at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, India, currently working on my thesis project focused on migration and its cultural, emotional, and historical dimensions in Bihar, India.

   As part of my research, I am developing a publication and exhibition using visual ethnographic methods. While exploring archival material, I came across your platform and the valuable collection of photographs and documents related to the Girmitiya system (indentured labour migration).

   I am particularly interested in using a few images related to the Agreement Act and early migrant labourers from your archive. These visuals will help me connect the historical roots of migration with contemporary narratives in my work.
